Every Day Is Earth Day

Meet the Eco Community Helpers

Meet the Eco Community Helpers

Meet the Eco Community Helpers is a four-session dramatic-play environmental career series that introduces young children to real-world helpers who protect, build, teach, and care for the Earth. Through dramatic play, props, storytelling, visuals, and hands-on activities, children discover who these helpers are, what they do, and how their work supports communities and the environment.

Each session highlights three Eco Community Helpers, combining familiar occupations with careers children may not have encountered before. Children become active participants by exploring career-related tools and props, responding to visual presentations, and completing an activity that reinforces each helper’s role.

The series builds environmental and career vocabulary, confidence, creativity, and early awareness of green occupations. Most importantly, children begin seeing environmental careers as possibilities for themselves and recognizing that people with different skills can work together to care for the Earth.
