Celebration of Our Earth: Your Home, Your Earth
Celebration of Our Earth: Your Home, Your Earth is an interactive community-based experience that brings children, families, educators, and community partners together to learn about and celebrate the planet we share.
Through hands-on activities, demonstrations, storytelling, and guided exploration, participants are introduced to KEEPS Global’s Six Key Environmental Principles: water education, energy education, recycling, pollution prevention, gardening, and composting. Each principle helps children connect environmental learning to familiar choices and experiences in their homes, schools, and communities.
The celebration makes environmental education welcoming, visual, and enjoyable while encouraging children and families to explore practical ways they can care for the Earth together. Activities may be adapted for early childhood programs, schools, family events, festivals, and community spaces.
Learning and Standards Alignment
Celebration of Our Earth supports the California Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten Learning Foundations in Science, Health, Language and Literacy Development, Social and Emotional Development, History–Social Science, Physical Development, and Visual and Performing Arts. For kindergarten learners, activities are designed to support relevant California Common Core State Standards, California Next Generation Science Standards, and California Health Education Content Standards.
